Education: Bachelors in Education and Nursing from Texas Tech University -- Masters in Business Administration and Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2007.
Inspired by her family’s history of Nursing, Lori has spent the majority of her career, 18+ years, at the bedside caring for ICU patients and their families. Bedside nursing and high-quality patient care are both at the core of her professional passion. While Lori has served in many management, education, and administrative roles, she has always maintained her active bedside nursing skills in critical care and emergency medicine. Her clinical experience includes critical care nursing in medical/surgical ICU, ICU Charge Nurse, and Critical Care Director of various acute care hospital settings. Lori earned her Teaching Certificate in 2009 and is currently a candidate for Fellow of American College of Healthcare Executives. Lori also taught high school health science programs for 5 years, finding great joy in inspiring young adults to choose a career in the healthcare field. After leaving education and acute care hospital administration, Lori has truly found her calling in the Freestanding ER environment. She creates an environment that is truly dedicated to enhancing the patient experience and delivering the highest quality of patient care possible. Working at The Colony ER Hospital is a dream come true for Lori. Here she can assemble a team of like-minded professionals with the passion for excellence.
